Thank you so much Rabbi Barry! Everyone raved about the ceremony saying it was the best and most heartfelt one they’ve ever witnessed. Thank you so much for being a part of our day. Your explanations of the traditions were so wonderful and everyone was so excited to know exactly what everything meant. We are so glad we chose you!!!! Mari Kate, Bride
I love, love, love working with Rabbi Barry! He is the nicest, most down to earth rabbi and couldn't recommend him enough. Kirsteen, Wedding Planner
We loved Rabbi Barry! He was a fantastic teacher to my husband who converted before our wedding, and very flexible in his weekly classes. He worked with us over Skype all the way in Colorado. We really enjoyed that he tailored the service to our tastes, and incorporated our personalities. Everyone loved the service and thought Rabbi Barry did a great job. He's also very funny! Alyssa, Bride
It was my pleasure. What a beautiful service. You have a way about you that puts people at ease. I know Jamie and Justin really enjoyed themselves. Colleen, Wedding Planner
Rabbi Barry Altmark was amazing! We had a very diverse crowd and he did an amazing job of explaining the traditions that we wanted to incorporate in our wedding. He also was very creative in ways to get the guests involved, everyone got to feel like they were part of the ceremony! Susan, Bride
We could not have been more happy having Barry as our officiant for our wedding. He met with us several times to get to know us as a couple to personalize our service. The guests could not stop talking about how much they loved him. He made us laugh, cry, and fall in love with our ceremony. I would highly recommend him to anyone. His love and inclusivity for all types of couples and marriages was inspiring. As a same sex couple, we didn’t feel like this was a same-sex wedding but a wedding honored and represented like any other wedding. But at the same time personalized just for us. Victoria, Bride
Rabbi Barry is phenomenal. We hired him to officiate our same-sex jewish ceremony in Cartagena, Colombia. Destination weddings come with their hiccups and he never skipped a beat; he was game for it all. It's been two months since the wedding and our guests still talk about how wonderful he was! Could not recommend Rabbi Barry more! Diana, Bride
Thank you so, so much for marrying us! We had so many compliments about your ceremony. Jennifer, Bride
Thank you so much Rabbi Barry for leading our beautiful ceremony!.
We first heard about Rabbi Barry through WeddingWire and we are so glad we decided to contact him. At first we thought it would be strange to do our ceremony with someone we didn't know, but that fear quickly went away. Rabbi Barry met us several times via Skype before the wedding and right away we knew he was the perfect fit for us. He explained us every single step of the ceremony and made sure everything was aligned to our believes and family traditions. It was a beautiful ceremony and we couldn't be happier! Highly recommended. Tamara, Bride
Thank you for officiating our wedding. You set the tone for quite a memorable night! Our friends mostly non-Jewish are still commenting on the service and the way you explained things made it easier for everyone to understand what was going on. My parents and brothers are still raving about you! Henry, Groom
Rabbi Barry was awesome! He did a fabulous job on our interfaith wedding. Sam, Groom
Thank you for spending time with me today to discuss some of my my questions regarding Erika and Thomas' wedding.
Just wanted to let you know that it was much appreciated. Bea, Bride's Grandmother.
Look no further for any other Rabbi to officiate your special day!!
I cannot describe the words I have for Rabbi Barry. From the moment I messaged him till the moment he officiated my husband and I, I felt he was part of our family. He took all the time in the world to help with what we needed to do and how we needed to do it, If either of us had any questions he was quick to answer. He made our special night the most amazing night. Thank you Rabbi for everything that you’ve done for my family, my husband and I!! Rachel, Bride
Hi Rabbi Barry!
Thank you so much for coming today!!
We have not had anything like that experience in at least the 3 years I’ve been here, so I was so happy to be able to offer it to them.
I felt like it went well and you were very thorough in your explanation of the Passover, and some of the more important customs of your faith.
You also challenged some of our folks to think about their faith as well.
Thank you for taking your time to share with us and get me prepped so that we were adequately prepared for a smooth experience.
A very special experience in my opinion. Cynthia, Life Enrichment Director (Town Village Vestavia Hills)
We had multiple family members comment on how nice the bar mitzvah service was, and how much they liked your style. David, Father of the Bar Mitzvah
It was a such a pleasure working with you for Becca and Lee’s Wedding. The ceremony was full of wise words, laughter, and joy – just as it should be. Danielle, Wedding Planner
I am so lucky to have found Rabbi Barry. We hired him about a year before the wedding, and he checked in often to see how we were doing throughout the planning process. I only met him in person one time before the wedding but through all the emailing, I felt like I knew him really well. He is also the type of person that after just meeting him, you feel like you’ve known him your whole life. He shakes hands on the first meeting, after that it’s all hugging! He kept our ceremony short and kept our guests entertained with his sense of humor and guest participation. All of my guests loved him. We loved him! Jessica, Bride
Thank you for presiding at the wedding. You did an outstanding job of explaining our traditions to the many guests who had very little exposure to our faith. It was very well received by all those in attendance. You took a special day and made it an outstanding one. Carole, Mother of the GroomWho else but calm, funny, and kind Rabbi Barry could have given us the interfaith Jewish wedding which worked best for us? Sarah, Bride
I just wanted to thank you for the great job you did for our wedding last weekend. We received several nice comments about the ceremony and I think it was perfect. We had a wonderful time and you helped make it a very special wedding. Bryan, Groom
Rabbi Barry was such a joy to work with. He made the process of creating a personalized ceremony a fun and relaxing experience. He was so supportive and open to our ideas, but also provided lots of good ideas and structure for us to use. Catherine, Bride
I’m still grinning from ear to ear over Megan and Levi’s wedding last week! Cathy, Mother of the Groom
Thank you so much for sharing in our service and performing such a memorable ceremony for us! Jeanne, Bride
Hey. I just wanted to drop by to say thank you and leave a quick review. My wife (Katie) and I got married on 10/24/2014. We first heard about Rabbi Barry through the recommendation of our wedding planner. After narrowing down our search to 2-3 officiants, we set up a meeting with Rabbi Barry. We could tell right away that he was the one we wanted. He was down to earth, funny, relaxed, and he knows how to work a crowd. At the same time, he’s adamant about marriage being a sacred covenant and he takes it very seriously, which is something we appreciate. He came prepared with several examples, passages, etc. and worked with us every step of the way. It was easy to see that he genuinely enjoys what he does. Planning a wedding can be quite stressful, so it definitely helps to have people that are reliable and trustworthy at your disposal. With that said, I wholeheartedly recommend Rabbi Barry as an officiant. Steven, Groom
THANK YOU for a beautiful, meaningful service. You are super special. As “Mother of the Groom” I especially appreciate that you helped Jeff and Carrie negotiate the path to their Jewish wedding.
You are charismatic, a natural mentor, and make learning Jewish Law enjoyable and not overwhelming. Both and Jeff and Carrie sang your praises all along … now we see why. We wish you a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year. We will always have a special memory of you. Maxine, Mother of the Groom
